THE VALUE OF MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF SPINAL DISORDERS

Department of Neurosurgery Frenchay Hospital Bristol United Kingdom In this study, we examined the MRI scans of eight patients with divers spinal neurosurgical problems. The evaluatins of pre-operative imaging correlated predsely with the operative findings in all of our cases. Finally, the superiority of the MRI over CT and CT-myelography and its advantages in the diagnosis and treatment-planning of neurosurgical patient is discussed.
